5. Conclusion

5.1 Practical Applications

The radio is one of the most useful gadget in the world and is widely-used around the world by many people. The radio is very useful because of its ability to help people to communicate from long distances. It is especially useful for people who have long-distance relationship or are far away from their family, and will be a hassle to meet them personally and communicate. Hence, with this radio, it is more convenient and much easier for people to talk to one another from far away. The radio is also used as an entertainment and people established radio stations to talk to their audience about interesting topics. There is will be a DJ who will talk to many people, his audience, and will bond with them, a way to strengthen the relationship with one another within the community.

Hence, the development of the AM Transceiver Radio will be relevant to the SST Community as a form of communication between students and staff in the SST Community. Ideas such as “Radio @ SST” may also be implemented with the development of the AM Transceiver Radio.

5.2 Areas for further study

There is an area which I’m curious about and which I want to further study in, which is the strength of the radio waves. I wonder what causes these radio waves and where do they come from. I want to know how the strength of these radio waves are calculated, be it the material of the receiver or transmitter or the altitude of the location whether it would affect the strength of the electromagnetic waves.

5.3 Final Remarks
Comparing with other research where, terrain was one factor pertaining to signal loss (ian, n.d) stating that the terrain could affect the signal loss of a radio/telecommunication device. In (Weather versus propagation, n.d.) it was stated that weather may affect the radio telecommunication but only if the distance is very long distance (eg, in 100 km//across a country ) however since our experiment was only 100m, it worked.
